Concannon Miller CEO Bob Oster received a special recognition award at the 2016 Lehigh Valley Business CFO of the Year Awards.
Oster, who is retiring Sept. 30 after 38 years with the company, received the surprise award because of his significant contributions to the Lehigh Valley business community.
“Bob has been the face of Concannon Miller for almost two decades, serving as the company’s CEO since 1998,” Lehigh Valley Business Publisher Mike O’Rourke said. “Bob also is very active in the community, serving on numerous boards, including Minsi Trails Council Boy Scouts of America, St. Luke’s Hospital and Saucon Valley Country Club.”
Oster, who started with Concannon Miller in 1979, said he’s leaving the company in very good hands.
“We’ve got a great group of people who can carry the mantel forward,” he said.
Concannon Miller was proud to be the presenting sponsor for the fourth annual awards, held today at DeSales University.
“This event recognizes and celebrates the changing role of CFOs in today’s world – you are held in high esteem within the leadership team as having insight into and expertise in all aspects of the business,” Concannon Miller President & COO Ted Witman said. “We believe it is appropriate that you receive this public recognition – and we are privileged to be a part of that. We recognize the impact that excellent leaders – and specifically CFOs – have on the success of any organization.”
