Concannon Miller is proud to announce Katie Moyer, CPA, a manager on its McDonald’s team, has been named a Lehigh Valley Business 40 Under 40 winner for 2020.
Katie manages one of the firm’s teams providing accounting services to McDonald’s franchisees. She’s proven herself to be a leader in new technology, co-leading the firm’s Innovation Committee and overseeing key software conversion for clients.
“Katie is an incredible leader for our McDonald’s team and she wholeheartedly deserves this recognition,” said Erica Bortz, CPA, a Concannon Miller shareholder and Katie’s supervisor. “Her impressive skillset is an asset to both our team and clients.”
Katie also is a graduate of Concannon Miller’s Next Gen Leader Program and the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Women2Women Mentoring Program.
“Katie’s tremendous leadership and know-how have already benefitted our staff and clients, and we look forward to and anticipate her future growth and successes with our company,” Concannon Miller President & COO Ted Witman said.
Katie is also incredibly active in the community, serving as longtime board members for Fitzmaurice Community Services and Women’s Resources of Monroe County, where she also serves as treasurer. Her family also founded a nonprofit to honor her brother, Greg, who died from sudden cardiac arrest as a teenager during a high school basketball game. Through the Gregory W. Moyer Defibrillator Fund, her family has distributed more than 3,000 AEDs and held dozens of CPR and AED training classes.
“I feel serving on their boards and contributing my accounting expertise is the least I can do for these organizations that provide essential basic needs for some of the most vulnerable members of our community,” Katie said.
Katie will be honored July 16 as part of Lehigh Valley Business’s 40 Under 40 awards event.
