Accountants and artists don’t often go hand-in-hand.
Concannon Miller’s accountants, therefore, must be a little different.
The firm has been an arts patron for more than 30 years. While Musikfest is a nationally-known festival today, it was a hard sell when it was first pitched in 1984.
But Concannon Miller signed on as an inaugural sponsor, as the firm also did when Musikfest’s parent organization ArtsQuest hatched its plan for its ambitious SteelStacks complex. The now-thriving facility was merely a shell when Concannon Miller signed on to be presenting sponsor of RiverJazz in 2010.
The firm fully understood what new complex could mean for Concannon Miller, for ArtsQuest and for the community, and a new phase of a longstanding partnership was born.
“Concannon Miller has always recognized the intrinsic value that arts create in the community,” Director of Marketing & Business Development Betsy Storey-Bono says. “Where the arts grow, business flourishes. As a CPA and business consulting firm working with all types of businesses, it is in our vital business interest to support economic growth.”
